Opening Book of Condolence

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Pretoria has opened a Book of Condolence following the passing of His Excellency U Myint Swe, Pro Tem President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, who passed away on 7 August 2025. The book was opened from Saturday, 9 August, Sunday, 10 August, and Monday, 11 August 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. His passing is a profound loss to his family and to the nation, leaving a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and respected him.

The Embassy expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Heads of Mission, diplomats, and representatives of international organizations who signed the Book of Condolence and conveyed their messages of sympathy and solidarity.
