Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires Assumes Chairmanship of ASEAN Pretoria Committee Following APC Meeting

Mr. Thein Min Htun, Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Pretoria, together with ASEAN Ambassadors, Chargés d’Affaires, and Deputy Chiefs of Mission, participated in the regular APC meeting hosted by the Chargé d’Affaires of the High Commission of Malaysia on 30 June at Pachas Restaurant in Pretoria.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the APC’s recent engagements with South African government officials and stakeholders from various sectors, and discussed preparations for the upcoming ASEAN Day Reception, scheduled to be held on 7 August 2025.

Following the meeting, Mr. Thein Min Htun formally assumed the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Pretoria Committee from the High Commission of Malaysia. The meeting concluded with a luncheon hosted by the Malaysian High Commission.
