Myanmar – Nigeria

၁။ ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်နှင့် နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားဖက်ဒရယ်သမ္မတနိုင်ငံတို့သည် ၁၉၇၀ ခုနှစ် ဇန်နဝါရီလ ၂၄ ရက်နေ့တွင် နှစ်နိုင်ငံအပြန်အလှန် သံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေးကို စတင် ထူ‌ထောင်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ ၁၉၉၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇွန်လ ၄ ရက်နေ့တွင် တောင်အာဖရိကနိုင်ငံ၊ ပရီတိုးရီးယားမြို့၌ အခြေစိုက် ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့သည့် မြန်မာသံရုံးသည် နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံအား ပူးတွဲတာဝန်ယူဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

၂။ နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ (၁၃) ဦးမြောက် မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးအဖြစ် ပရီတိုးရီးယား မြို့အခြေစိုက် တောင်အာဖရိကနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးမြင့်ဆွေက နောက်ဆုံး ပူးတွဲတာဝန် ထမ်းဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး ၁-၈-၂၀၁၉ ရက်နေ့တွင် ၎င်း၏ သံအမတ်ခန့်အပ်လွှာကို နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံသမ္မတ H.E Muhammadu Buhari ထံသို့ ပေးအပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ ဆိုင်ရာ နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီးအဖြစ် ဗန်ကောက်မြို့အခြေစိုက် နိုင်ဂျီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီး Mr. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli က ပူးတွဲတာဝန်ယူဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Federal Republic of Nigeria established diplomatic relations on 24 January 1970. The Embassy of Myanmar in Pretoria, Republic of South Africa — which was opened on 4 June 1996 — has been concurrently accredited to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

To date, a total of thirteen Myanmar Ambassadors have served as Ambassadors of Myanmar to Nigeria on a concurrent basis. The most recent among them was H.E. U Myint Swe, Ambassador of Myanmar to the Republic of South Africa, based in Pretoria, who was concurrently accredited to Nigeria. He presented his Letter of Credence to H.E. President Muhammadu Buhari on 1 August 2019. The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Myanmar is H.E. Mr. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, who is concurrently accredited to Myanmar from the Nigerian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand.
