Myanmar – Mauritius

၁။ ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်နှင့် မောရစ်ရှပ်သမ္မတနိုင်ငံတို့သည် ၁၉၇၈ ခုနှစ် ဒီဇင်ဘာလ ၃၀ ရက်တွင် နှစ်နိုင်ငံ အပြန်အလှန်သံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေးကို စတင် ထူထောင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ၁၉၇၁ ခုနှစ် ဇန်နဝါရီလတွင် မောရစ်ရှပ်ဝန်ကြီးချုပ် ဆာရမ်ဂူလန်သည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသို့ လာရောက်လည်ပတ်ခဲ့ပြီး နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတ (တော်လှန်ရေးကောင်စီ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌ) နှင့် တွေ့ဆုံ၍ နှစ်နိုင်ငံချစ်ခင်ရင်းနှီးသည့် ဆက်ဆံရေးဆိုင်ရာကိစ္စရပ်များကို ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ပါသည်။

၂။ မောရစ်ရှပ်သမ္မတနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးအဖြစ် ပူးတွဲခန့်အပ်ခြင်းကို ယခင်က အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးမှ ပူးတွဲတာဝန်ယူဆောင်ရွက်သော်လည်း ၂၀၀၄ ခုနှစ်မှ စ၍ တောင်အာဖရိကနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးများမှ မောရစ်ရှပ် နိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးအဖြစ် ပူးတွဲတာဝန်ယူဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Mauritius established diplomatic relations on 30 December 1978. In January 1971, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius, paid an official visit to Myanmar and met with the then Chairman of the Revolutionary Council and Head of State. During the visit, both sides held discussions on matters related to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

In the past, the Ambassador of Myanmar to the Republic of India was concurrently accredited to the Republic of Mauritius. However, since 2004, the Ambassadors of Myanmar to the Republic of South Africa have also been concurrently accredited as Ambassadors of Myanmar to the Republic of Mauritius, and have since continued to carry out this responsibility.
